Classes generally meet once a week and run continually throughout the academic year. Our curriculum and projects are designed to present a progressing level of skill and challenge so that students can gain the most out of our program. Our small class size and individualized instruction allows you to join at any time.
Getting Ready (4 to 6 Years Old)
An introduction to representational drawing geared to the attention span and motor coordination of 4 to 6 year olds. Students work on their ability to recognize the elements of shape and combine them in drawing the creatures from nature and objects from their world. Students will receive phonic learning of the alphabet integrated into the drawing lessons.
Media: Markers, chalk pastels, occasional watercolor
Basic Drawing (6 to 9 Years Old)
An introduction to representational drawing geared to the attention span and motor coordination of a 7 to 9 year old. Students quickly learn to recognize the elements of shape and are introduced to various choices of how to interpret the lesson, in their own creative rendering of the subject and background. Some work with story writing and geography will be integrated into the drawing lessons.

Drawing Fundamentals (8 to 13 Year Olds)
An introduction to representational drawing geared to the attention span and motor coordination of an 8 to 12 year old. Students will learn the Elements of Shape and how to use them in creating drawings from a variety of realistic, abstract, and expressionistic styles. Lessons will introduce them to inspirations from 2-Dimensional graphic materials, 3-Dimensional objects, the human form, perspective, and proportion.

Drawing Studio (Teens & Adults)
An independent study class for teens and adults that ranges from students with no experience to ones who have fairly good basic drawing skills. We Will introduce the student to all subjects, media, and styles of drawing and painting.
